罗睺《佛学大辞典》
(异类)Rāhu,又作罗护,星名。以能障蔽日月而使蚀,故印度传说谓之阿修罗王。大日经疏四曰:“罗睺是交会蚀神。”希麟音义六曰:“罗睺或云罗护,此云暗障,能障日月之光明,即暗曜也。”见罗睺阿修罗条。

又佛子罗睺罗,略曰罗睺。

罗睺罗《佛学大辞典》
(人名)Rāhula,旧作罗云,罗吼罗,罗睺罗,罗睺。新作曷罗怙罗,何罗怙罗,罗怙罗。佛之嫡子。在胎六年。生于成道之夜。十五岁出家。舍利弗为和上,而彼为沙弥,逐成阿罗汉果,在十大弟子中为密行第一。后于法华会上回于大乘。受蹈七宝华如来之记别。以生于罗睺罗阿修罗王障蚀月时,故名罗睺罗。又六年为母胎所障蔽,故名。罗睺罗为执月及障蔽之义。母有异说(见罗睺罗六年在胎往因项)。注维摩经三曰:“什曰:阿修罗食月时名罗睺罗,罗睺罗秦言覆障,谓障月明也。罗睺罗六年处母胎,所覆障故因以为名,明声闻法中密行第一。”同二十一曰:“何罗怙罗或言曷罗怙罗,云障月,旧言罗睺罗,亦作罗吼罗,或言罗云,皆讹也。言罗怙罗阿修罗以手障月时生,因以名也。又言:覆障六年在胎,为胎所覆也。又七年在母腹中,一由往业,一由现在。往业者,昔曾作国王,制断独觉不听入境,独觉在山七日不得乞食,因堕地狱,余报七年在母腹中。又由现在者,瞿夷是怀罗怙罗,后太子出家,六年苦行,方得成道。于六年中瞿夷忧恼,四大羸弱,不能得生。至太子成道,瞿夷欢喜,四大有力,方乃得生。与阿难同时而生,故首尾七年也。如来还国七日,即度出家也。”法华玄赞一曰:“梵云罗怙罗,此云执日。旧言罗睺罗,翻为障蔽,非也。”
罗睺罗六年在胎往因《佛学大辞典》
(传说)玄应师之说如上所引。佛本行集经五十五曰:“罗睺罗,昔为国王时,有仙人犯盗戒,欲就王忏悔。诣王宫,王耽五欲,六日不见外人,以此因缘,今生六年在母胎也。”法华文句二曰:“往昔塞鼠穴,又不看婆罗门六日,由是缘故言覆障。”维摩经嘉祥疏二曰:“所以六年在胎者,从来言,过去墐塞鼠孔,故六年在胎。大论云:有仙人,入王国,辙饮王水取王杨枝。犯不与取,就王忏悔,治罪。王见即便入内,六日,五欲自娱乐,忘外仙人。仙人云:不应以此治我,以六日在内不出见仙人,故今生六年在胎也。”
罗睺罗出家因缘《佛学大辞典》
(故事)未曾有因缘经曰:“佛在祇园精舍,遣目连至迦毗罗城,请罗睺罗于耶输,舍利弗为和上,目连为教授师,度彼为沙弥。时年十五岁,净饭王怜之。令童子五十人从之出家。”

(杂语)据十二游经,则佛有三夫人:第一瞿夷,第二耶输陀罗,第三鹿野。须达拏经及瑞应经以罗睺为瞿夷之子,未曾有因缘经,涅槃经,法华经以为耶输之子。天台慈恩共会之曰:据智度论瞿夷为玉女,定无子。瑞应经就长母谓之瞿夷。未曾有经等就所生谓之耶输。见法华文句二,法华玄赞一(见未曾有因缘经以为耶输之子,然天台慈恩嘉祥等共举彼经以为瞿夷之子,何也?今从经文)。”
罗睺阿修罗《佛学大辞典》
(异类)Rāhuasura,具曰罗睺罗阿修罗。四种阿修罗王之一。罗睺罗译执月。此阿修罗王与帝释战时,能以其手执日月,障蔽其光,故名。法华文句二曰:“罗睺者,此云覆障,障持日月者也。”法华嘉祥疏二曰:“罗睺者,此云障持,又云吸气。(中略)问何故修罗手障月?答:婆沙云:月是帝释军前锋,故以手障之而欲食月。正法念经云:日月放光障修罗眼令不见,故以手障之。”智度论十曰:“一时罗睺罗阿修罗王欲啖月,月天子怖,疾到佛所说偈:大智精进佛世尊,我今归命稽首礼。是罗睺罗恼乱我,愿佛怜愍见救护。佛与罗睺罗而说偈言:月能照暗而清凉,是虚空中天灯明。其色白净有千光,汝莫吞月疾放去。是时罗睺罗怖懅流汗,即疾放月波梨。”法华玄赞二曰:“罗睺此云执日,非天(阿修罗)与天斗时,将四天王天先与其战,日月天子放盛光明射非天之眼。此为非天之前锋,以手执日障蔽其光,故云执日。”
罗縠《佛学大辞典》
(杂名)皆为羂布之稀簿轻妙者。天众之衣,由此而成云。

又菩萨之见佛性,如隔罗縠而见物。祖庭事苑一曰:“华严疏云:菩萨智与如来智,如明眼人隔轻縠睹众色像,此言菩萨与佛见性同品。”
