(修法)与六字法同。
六字名号《佛学大辞典》
(术语)南无阿弥陀佛六字之名号也。佛号正为阿弥陀佛之四字,南无译为归命,是虽为能归之相,然就行者之所称,故开举能归之言而为名号。弥陀之名号,特由之而成就机法一体愿行具足之深义也。观无量寿经曰:“令声不绝,具足十念,称南无阿弥陀佛。称佛名故,于念念中,除八十亿劫生死之罪。”观佛三昧经三曰:“名南无光照如来。”
六字名号一遍法《佛学大辞典》
(术语)日本时宗之开祖一遍上人智真自熊野权现托宣而为偈颂曰:“六字名号一遍法,十界依正一遍体,万行离念一遍证,人中上上妙好华。”文意:“南无阿弥陀佛六字名号,一遍之法也(周遍法界之一如之法,一遍之称名具万德之法也)。上自佛界,下至地狱界,十界依报之功德,一遍无二之体性也。依斯一遍之法,万行悉离念,而证悟于一遍,是人中上上妙好华也。”取此偈颂四句首字劝化诸人之念佛札记,为南无阿弥陀佛决定往生六十万人。见智真条。

六字章句陀罗尼《佛学大辞典》
(真言)请观世音菩萨消伏毒害陀罗尼咒经所说。三陀罗尼之一。六字者,念观音而诵此陀罗尼,则一脱六道之苦果,二得六妙门,三证六根之相应,故曰六。非取于字句之数,依此中第一之义,立大悲观世音等之六观音,与六道配对。是天台之义立也。经曰:“应当净心系念一处,称观世音菩萨归依三宝,三称我名,诵大吉祥六字章句救苦神咒。”此三义,观音经疏记荆溪师之说也。然依凤潭师之考证,则此说大非。曰:经中所说三章句之第一章句,有詈,詈之六字;又第二章句,有此六字;时第三章句,为释尊自说,咒之首句,置多(说咒曰)之语,直下曰安荼詈般荼詈。可知以此六字为真言之体,余句皆为转释此六字者。安荼詈般荼詈即安那般那观,入出之数息观也。依此数息而定止一心,故得除灭一切之灾厄。且所谓六字章句非独限于此经之咒,六字咒经有多本,即六字神咒王经(失译),外道旃陀罗女厌惑阿难及诸善人时,如来以怜愍之故,说六字神咒王经,咒曰:安陀隶,钵陀隶。及阿那,阿那夜(是遗去遣来数息之句义也),皆为灭恶咒。又有六字咒王经(失译),为前之异译,咒句亦同。又有一本之六字大陀罗尼咒经(失译),全与上二本同,云佛住耆阇崛山中(楞严住祇洹时),长老阿难为旃陀利女咒术所收(具如摩登伽经头谏经等所说),白佛言:我今强为他收去,佛告汝当受持六字大咒。咒曰:斯地梯昙(如他侄他之句),安荼隶般荼隶等,此咒能消诸病,消诸邪术起尸鬼厌蛊之诸难。其他经轨中,有六字章句之陀罗尼甚多。何必强为六道六根等之释。然则以此六字章句,配于六道之六观音等,亦无稽之至也。见观音纂玄记。
