说戒《佛学大辞典》
(术语)律之作法,每半月终,其日集大众,读戒经,又于半月间令忆出所犯之罪,而说其罪,以长善除恶。梵曰布萨。译言净住,长净。是就其功能而名之者。就其日之作为则曰说戒,就比丘之忏悔则曰说罪。此说戒秘密,不受具足戒者,不使得听。行持钞上四曰:“布萨此云净住。”寄归传二曰:“言说罪者,意欲陈罪说己先愆,改往修来,至诚恳责。半月半月为褒洒陀,朝朝暮暮忆所犯罪。褒洒是长养义,陀是净义,意明长善净除破戒之过,昔云布萨者讹略也。”涅槃经三曰:“有一童子不善修习身口意业,在屏隈处盗听说戒,密迹力士承佛神力以金刚杵碎之如尘。”

(印相)说法之印契也。有三种:一左右手各捻其无名指与拇指之指头,余指舒散,左手仰于心前,右手覆于其上,而勿使相着。二捻两手中指与拇指,无名指与头指散而稍曲,使小指直立,横左手安于胸上,竖右手安于乳。三捻两手头指与拇指,中无名小三指并舒,左手仰掌,安于胸上,以右手腕着于中指等头。以掌向外。此三种如其次第,为化报法三身说法之相也。见大疏演奥钞十四。
