贤《佛学大辞典》
(术语)证真谓之圣,邻于圣谓之贤。玄义四下曰:“邻圣曰贤。”
贤人《佛学大辞典》
(术语)三贤十圣,七贤七圣等。总称声闻乘预流果以前,菩萨乘初地以前之观行者为贤人。成宗论二十七贤圣中,前二者为贤人,后二十五者为圣者。玄义八曰:“贤名贤能,亦名贤善。善故有德,能故有智。智德具足,故称贤人。”见“贤圣”条。
贤劫《佛学大辞典》
(术语)过去之住劫,名为庄严劫,未来之住劫,名为星宿劫,现在之住劫,名为贤劫,现在之住劫二十增减中,有千佛出世,故称赞之为贤劫。亦名善劫。大悲经三曰:“阿难!何故名为贤劫?阿难!此三千大千世界,劫欲成时,尽为一水。时净居天,以天眼观见此世界唯一大水,见有千枝诸妙莲华,一一莲华各有千叶,金色金光大明普照,香气芬熏,甚可爱乐。彼净居天因见此已,心生欢喜,踊跃无量,而赞叹言:奇哉奇哉!希有希有!如此劫中当有千佛出兴于世,以是因缘,遂名此劫号之为贤。”悲华经五曰:“此佛世界当名娑婆,(中略)时有大劫名曰善贤,何因缘故劫名善贤?是大劫中有千世尊,成就大悲出现于世。”行宗记四下曰:“慈恩劫章云:即此住劫称贤劫,此界成后有千佛出世,既多贤圣,故名贤劫。”梵Bhadrakalpa。

(术语)过现未三住劫,各有一千佛出世。贤劫千佛者,佛祖统纪三十勘考诸经论,依其所记,则住劫有二十增减,其前八增减中,为佛之出世。于第九减劫,始有佛,名拘留孙佛。是为千佛之第一。次为拘那含牟尼佛,次为迦叶佛,次即今之释迦牟尼佛。自此至第十增减之减劫,有弥勒出世,次于第十增减之减劫中,有师子佛等九百九十四佛。次于第二增减之增劫,有楼至佛出世。合计一千佛。

贤圣《佛学大辞典》
(术语)外典谓之圣贤。内典谓之贤圣。贤者和于善之义。圣者会于正之义。和于善,虽离恶,而未发无漏智,不证理,不断惑,在凡夫之位者,谓之贤。既发无漏智,证理断惑,次舍凡夫之性者,谓之圣。见道前七方便之位,名为贤。见道以上名为圣。大乘义章十七本曰:“和善曰贤,会正名圣,正谓理也。理无偏邪,故说为正。证理舍凡,说为圣矣。(中略)就位分别,见前已前调心离恶,名之为贤。见谛已上会正名圣,故仁王中,地前并名为三贤,地上菩萨说为十圣。”四教仪二曰:“言贤者,邻圣曰贤,(中略)贤者名直善也。”嘉祥仁王经疏三曰:“会真名圣。”俱舍义光记二十二曰:“贤谓贤和,圣谓圣正。”大乘中,仁王经有三贤十圣之目,璎珞本业经有四十二贤圣之称。小乘中,萨婆多宗立七贤七圣,成实宗立二十七贤圣。但贤有通别之二门。据别门,则贤居下位。据通门,则通于见谛以上。如经说贤者舍利弗贤者须菩提等,福田经所说之二十贤圣。俱舍论二十二曰:“分别贤圣品。”成实论一曰:“分别贤圣品。”大乘义章十七本曰:“贤圣义。”义林章五本曰:“二十七贤圣章。”各有所说。
