世《佛学大辞典》
(术语)梵语曰路迦Loka,世俗也。可破毁者,堕于生灭者,覆真理者。义林章二末曰:“世谓隐覆可毁坏义。”又曰:“性堕起尽,名之为世。”唯识述记一本曰:“可毁坏故,有对治故。隐真理故,名之为世。”又,时之异名。迁流之义。楞严经曰:“世为迁流。(中略)过去未来现在为世。”十地义记一本曰:“世名为时。”
世世生生《佛学大辞典》
(术语)言六道轮回经多世多生也。心地观经三曰:“有情轮回生六道,犹如车轮无始终。或为父母为男女,世世生生互有恩。”

(人名)菩萨名。佛灭后四百年出世,婆沙四评家之一,迦腻色迦王在迦湿弥罗国,结集萨婆多部之三藏时,五百贤圣之上座也。又着有部宗轮论,叙小乘之二十部。俱舍光记二十曰:“世是天名,与天逐友故名世友。父母愍子,恐恶鬼神之所加害,言天逐友。彼不敢损,故以为名焉。梵名筏苏密咀罗Vasumitra,筏苏名世,密咀罗名友,旧云和须密讹也。”西域记三曰:“其王是时与诸罗汉自彼而至居此也。世友曰:诸贤于法无疑,代佛施化,方集大义欲制正论。我虽不敏粗达微言,三藏玄文五明至理,颇亦沈研得其趣矣。诸罗汉曰:言不可以若是,汝宜屏居,疾证无学已而会此时未晚也。世友曰:我顾无学其犹洟唾,志求佛果不趍小径,掷此缕丸未坠于地,必当证得无学圣果。(中略)于是世友即掷缕丸空中,诸天接缕丸而请曰:方证佛果次补慈氏,三界特尊四生攸赖,如何于此欲证小果?时诸罗汉见是事已,谢咎推德,请为上座。凡有疑议,咸取决焉。”宗轮论述记曰:“异部宗轮论者,佛圆寂后四百许年,说一切有部世友菩萨之所作也。”
