僧[(丰*力)/石]《佛学大辞典》
(人名)姚秦僧[(丰*力)/石],通六经及三藏,律行清谨,能振佛法。及姚苌偕有关中,盛弘大化。罗什入关,内外僧尼多动辄有过,于是姚兴始以僧[(丰*力)/石]为僧正,使正纲纪。是为僧官之始。弘始末年没于长安之大寺。寿七十。见高僧传六。
僧《佛学大辞典》
(术语)僧伽Saṁgha之略。译曰和或众。四人已上之比丘和而为众。新译家以为三人已上。智度论三曰:“僧伽,秦言众。多比丘一处和合,是名僧伽。”僧非可名一人之上。寄归传三曰:“凡有书疏往还,题云求寂某乙、小苾刍某乙,(中略)不可言僧某乙。僧是僧伽,目乎大众,宁容一己辄道四人,西方无此法也。”虽然,僧之一分,则言僧亦无害。僧史略下曰:“若单曰僧,则四人已上方得称之。今谓分称为僧,理亦无爽。如万二千五百人为军,或单己一人亦称军也,僧亦同之。”大乘义章十曰:“僧者外国正音名曰僧伽,此方翻译名和合,众行德不乖名之为和,和者非人目之为众。”行事钞曰:“四人已上,能御圣法办得前事名之为僧。僧以和合为义,言和合者有二义:一理和谓证择灭故。二事和。此别有六义:一戒和同修,二见和同解,三身和同住,四利和同均(均供养之利),五口和无诤,六意和同悦。”行事钞资持记上一之四曰:“和有六:戒见利三名体和,身口意三名相和。又初果以后名理和,所证同故。内凡以还名事和,即六和也。”义林章六本曰:“三人已上是僧体也,从多论议故。彼国之法:一名为一,二名为身,自三已上皆名为多。如办法事,四人方成。一人白言,大德僧听,所和三人得名僧故。若四是僧,岂能白者而自白耶?欲显和合从多人故,自三已上皆得名僧。”僧伽之比丘最少数,得为羯磨之最少限僧数也。

又人名。僧伽不知何国人何姓。唐龙朔初年来西凉府,次历江淮,隶名于山阳龙兴寺。屡现神异。中宗景龙二年于内道场召问法要。同四年终于荐福寺,寿八十二。见宋高僧传。

又付法藏第十七祖僧佉耶舍Saṁghayaśs之略称。

僧伽吒《佛学大辞典》
(术语)又作僧伽多。译曰集会。法门名。僧伽吒经一曰:“有法门名僧伽吒,若此法门在阎浮提,有人闻者悉能除灭五逆罪业。”大集会正法经一曰:“我有正法名大集会。”此二经同本异译也。梵Saṁghāta。

又风灾劫时所起之风名。大宝积经三十七曰:“又风灾起更有大风名僧伽多,彼风所吹举此三千大千世界并苏迷卢山轮围山等及诸大海,举高百逾缮那已碎末为尘。”起世因本经二曰:“有大风名僧伽陀,隋言合会,坏世界。同四卷作僧伽多。”

(经名)四卷,元魏月婆首那译。说大集会正法者之功德。次有折伏尼犍外道事。
