刹《佛学大辞典》
(术语)kṣa,又作乞叉,乞洒。悉昙五十字门之一。一切法尽不可得之义谓一切文字究竟无言说之声也。从Kṣaya(尽)及Akṣara(语,音,文字)之语而释之。金刚顶经曰:“乞叉(二合)字门一切法尽不可得故。”文殊问经曰:“称乞洒(二合)字时,是一切文字究竟无言声。”

又梵名,Ksetra,掣多罗,差多罗,纥差怛罗,刹摩等。译曰土田,国,处。大乘义章十九曰:“刹者,是其天竺人语,此方无翻,盖乃处处之别名也。”玄应音义一曰:“刹又作擦,音察,梵云差多罗,此译云土田。经中或言国,或言土者,同其义也。或作刹土者,存二音也。即刹帝利名守田主,亦是也。”慧苑音义上曰:“刹,具正云纥差呾罗,此曰土田也。”法华文句记二曰:“刹者应云刹摩,此云田,即一佛所王土也。”
