口《佛学大辞典》
(术语)言说之处。大乘义章七曰:“起说之门,说之为口。”
口业《佛学大辞典》
(术语)又曰语业。三业之一。谓口之所作,即一切之言语也。大乘义章七曰:“起说之门,名之为口。”

又业与孽通。口业:谓两舌,恶口,妄言,绮语也。净住子曰次忏口业,此是患苦之门,祸累之始。唐宋人常取以言文学之事,白居易诗:些些口业尚夸诗。苏轼诗:口业不停诗有债。皆以诗为绮语也。

口业供养《佛学大辞典》
(术语)三业供养之一。口发音,称美诸佛菩萨之功德也。见文句二下。
口传《佛学大辞典》
(杂语)又曰口诀,口授。即不可笔录之秘法以口传授也。法显传曰:“法显本求戒律,而北天竺诸国,皆师师口传,无本可写。”
口力外道《佛学大辞典》
(流派)外道十一宗之一。以口譬太虚。谓万物本为由一虚而生者。中论疏三本曰:“口力外道,计太虚能生四大,四大能生药草,药草能生众生,此从无生也。”参照口力论师项。
口力论师《佛学大辞典》
(流派)印度之外道,以虚空为万物之真因者。或作因力论师,恐是写误。外道小乘,涅槃论曰:“外道口力论师说,虚空是万物之因,最初生虚空,虚空生风,风生火,火生暖,暖生水,水即冻凌,坚作地,地生种种药草,种种药草生五谷生命,是故我论中说命是食,后时还没虚空,名涅槃。”是也。至于口力之义,古来不见其说。或谓虚空生风,比诸口内发呼气,故立此称,此说似迂远。恐以此外道计生命即为食,藉所谓口之力而活,故得其名耳。又见华严玄谈八等。

(术语)三密之一。又名语密。即谓诵真言之口业妙用速疾隐秘也。即身成佛义曰:“法佛三密,甚深微细,等觉十地,亦不能见闻,故曰密。”又据异本即身义,谓“六大中,风空二大,配于语密,真言行者,以三业为明,即身具三密万行,即身具三密菩提,行者自知,余人不知,故名密。”是也。但其中,前者约于佛边而说密。后者约于众生边而述其义。又凡论三密,有有相无相之别。有相之口密,谓念诵一定之诸尊真言。即凡夫之口密也。无相之口密。为三世常住净妙法身之语密,非凡夫之所窥知。大日经开题曰:“开口发闻,真言灭罪。”五轮九字秘释曰:“音韵声响皆语密,粗细言语悉真言。”即其意也。

(术语)二吉罗罪之一。谓口出妄言绮语等恶说也。见三藏法数七。

(书名)大日经疏二十卷中,入真言门住心品之疏,谓之口疏。入漫荼罗具缘品已下之疏,谓之奥疏。此住心品,为真言之教相门,故一般授受之。已下为事相门,故未灌顶之人,不许授受之。故有差别。
