婆《佛学大辞典》
(术语)Ba,又作么。悉昙五十字门之一,体文之喉声第三,金刚顶经曰:“么字门,一切法缚不可得故。”文殊问经曰:“称么字时,是解脱系缚声。”智度论曰:“若闻婆字,即知一切法无缚无解。婆陀,秦言缚。”解脱系缚由Bandha(缚)释之。

Bha,又作嘙、[口*梵]。悉昙五十字门之一。体文之喉声第四。金刚顶经曰:“婆(重)字门,一切法有不可得故。”文殊问经曰:“称婆(去)字时是出三有声。”智度论曰:“若闻婆字即知一切法不可得破相。婆伽,秦言破。”此语根由Bhū(有)释之。

(术语)Bhagavat,一作婆伽伴、婆誐鍐、婆伽梵、薄伽梵、薄阿梵Bhagavān(体声,一言声,男声),佛地论举自在、炽盛、端严、名称、吉祥、尊贵之六义,智度论出有德、巧分别、有名声、能破之四义。又密教有称女人之秘释。经中多单译曰世尊。佛地论一曰:“薄伽梵者,谓薄伽声依六义转:一、自在义。二、炽盛义。三、端严义。四、名称义。五、吉祥义。六、尊贵义。”智度论二曰:“云何为婆伽婆。天竺语。婆伽,秦言德。婆言有。是名有德。复次,婆伽名分别,婆名巧,巧分别诸法总相别相,故名婆伽婆。复次,婆伽名名声,婆名有。是名有名声。无有得名声如佛者。复次,婆伽名破。婆名能。是人能破淫怒痴,故称婆伽婆。”玄应音义三曰:“婆伽婆,旧云大功德,至圣之名。正言薄伽梵。”慧琳音义十曰:“薄伽伴,或云薄伽梵,或云婆伽婆,或云薄伽跋帝。皆佛第十号也。”饰宗记三本曰:“本音薄伽梵,此方义释为世尊,或名婆伽婆音之转也。”仁王念诵仪轨曰:“婆誐嚩底没驮(引)么(引)谛,婆誐嚩底,敌对翻云具福智者,会意释云世尊。没驮,此云觉。么谛,此云母也。顺此方言,言佛世尊母。婆伽梵者,男声呼也。婆誐嚩底,女声呼也。二俱会意,释云世尊。若依声明敌对释者,婆伽,云破。梵,翻为能。能破四魔,名婆伽梵。又云薄阿梵。依声明论云:薄,名为破。阿,名无生。梵,名为证。智能证阿,名为阿梵。由阿梵故,能破烦恼。故佛世尊不生不灭不来不去不一不异不断不常不增不减。具如是德,名薄阿梵。又云薄伽梵。薄伽,云福智。梵,名为具。会意释云:由具福智庄严满足故,名薄伽梵。又薄伽梵亦是男声。”大日经疏一曰:“薄伽梵者,论师所解,具有六义。今此宗中,薄伽梵是能破义。如人执持利器,多所摧伏。(中略)复次,帝释声论谓女人为薄伽,是欲求因缘能息烦恼义,又是所从生义。金刚顶宗即翻此义云:女人者即是般若佛母,无碍知见人,皆悉从是生。有其志求因缘,得与相应,烦恼戏论,皆悉永息。非如世间欲热,虽小止息,而实更增也。以密教不可直宣故,多有如是隐语,学者当触类思之。(中略)经中多释为世尊,是叹德之总称,西法语法,言及尊者不敢直斥其名,必先叹其功德。如云大智舍利弗、神通目犍连、头陀大迦叶、持律优婆离等。故此经中例云薄伽梵毗卢遮那,今顺此方文势或以世尊居下也。”
