定《佛学大辞典》
(术语)定止心于一境,不使散动,曰定。心性之作用也。有二类:一生得之散定,二修得之禅定。生得之散定者,欲界之有情亦生之,与心相应而起,专注于所对之境之作用也。俱舍论称为三摩地,以之为大地法之一,唯识论译为定,以之为五别境之一。修得之禅定者,为色界无色界心地之作用,必勤行修习而得之者也。如三学中之定学,六度中之禅定波罗蜜,即指修得之禅定。梵名三摩地Samādhi,译言定,或等。等持者,平等保持心性之义也。是为散定唯有心也。又有等至等引之二。
定业《佛学大辞典》
(术语)定受生死苦果之定业因也。此有善恶之二,善之定业,定受乐果,恶之定业,定受苦果。又善恶之定业,各有三种,于造善恶业之生,直感苦乐之果,为顺现受业。隔一世而感其果,为顺生受业。隔二世以上而感其果,为顺后受业。已上皆为定业中之差别,此外善恶皆有不定业之一种,业力微弱,不必感果也。因而通为四业。

又(术语)念佛四业之一。对于散业而言。坐禅入定而观佛也。往生要集下曰:“定业谓坐禅入定观佛。”

定业亦能转《佛学大辞典》
(杂语)文句记十曰:“若其机感厚,定业亦能转。”恶之定业,虽必受苦果,若众生之机,感佛菩萨为厚,则以佛菩萨之力转其定业,不使受苦果也。理趣释下曰:“心不犹豫能发净信修行,则现世恶报及来生能转定业,疾证无上菩提也。”
定中独头意识《佛学大辞典》
(术语)四种意识之一。定中之第六识也。入定中,前五识不全示其作用,唯第六意识为其所用。故称独头。

定光《佛学大辞典》
(佛名)梵名提洹羯佛Dipaṁkara,译言锭光佛,或然灯佛。有足曰锭。无足曰灯。作定非。释迦佛尝称为儒童。此佛出世之时,买五茎之莲奉佛。因而得未来成佛之记别。智度论九曰:“如然灯佛生时,一切身边如灯,故名然灯太子。作佛亦名然灯,旧名锭光佛。”玄应音义一曰:“锭光,大径切,又音殿,即然灯佛也。诸经中作提洹羯佛,是梵音。”辅行一之一曰:“瑞应云:至于昔者定光佛兴时,我为菩萨,名曰儒童。乃至买华奉定光佛,散华供养,华住空中。佛知其意,而赞叹言:汝无数劫所学清净。因记之曰:汝自是后九十一劫,劫号为贤,汝当作佛,名释迦文。”大部补注十一曰:“定光佛。定,正作锭。锭,都定切。亦云然灯佛。有足曰锭,无足曰灯。”

又(物名)玻璃珠之名也。晋华严经小相品曰:“亦于念念中见百千万亿那由他佛刹微尘等如来,佛告宝手菩萨言:譬如锭光玻璃珠,照十方佛刹微尘等世界。”

定光佛《佛学大辞典》
(佛名)即燃灯佛。见“定光佛手”条。
定光佛手《佛学大辞典》
(故事)天台之佛陇有禅师,曰定光,智者顗禅师尝梦师以手招之。佛者,禅门悟道人之通称,又拟于古之锭光佛。祖庭事苑五曰:“智者顗禅师,年十五时,礼佛像,恍然如梦,见大山临海际,峰顶有僧,招手接入一伽蓝:汝当居此,汝当修此。天台佛陇有定光禅师,先居此峰,谓弟子曰:不久当有善知识领徒至此。俄尔智者至。光曰:还忆畴昔举手招引时否?”冷斋夜话十曰:“然渠在海外,吾无定光佛手,何能招手?”
定共戒《佛学大辞典》
(术语)三戒之一。又名静虑生律仪。入初禅,二禅等诸禅定,则与禅定共生自然防非止恶之戒体,身口所作,尽契律仪云:俱舍论十四曰:“静虑生者,谓此律仪从静虑生,或依静虑。若得静虑者,定成此律仪。”七十五法名目曰:“静虑律仪,亦名定共戒,与定同时故。”
定判《佛学大辞典》
(术语)决定之判释也。杂阿含经四十二曰:“我等人人各说第一,意无定判。”俱舍论二十九曰:“定判识起由二缘。”大乘义章四曰:“大乘法中,文无定判。”
定力《佛学大辞典》
(术语)五力之一。禅定之力用,能破诸乱想者。无量寿经下曰:“定力禅力。”
定印《佛学大辞典》
(印相)标入定相之印契也。有三部之别:一佛部之定印,亦名法界定印。胎藏界大日如来之住定印也。二莲华部之定印,亦名弥陀定印,或妙观察智定印。阿弥陀如来之住定印也。三金刚部之定印,名为缚定印。天鼓雷音如来之住定印也。见胎藏界曼荼罗大钞三。
定命《佛学大辞典》
(术语)人之寿命有定。八万四千岁为最长,十岁为最短。百岁增减一岁也。其增之时期,名为增劫,其减之时期,名为减劫。今为减劫之时期,释迦佛之出世,定命百岁之时也。弥勒上生经疏上曰:“释迦减劫百岁时出世,弥勒劫增出世。”然通常人之定命为五十岁者,由释迦如来故,减二十岁八十岁而入灭,以八十为起点,由此经过三千年减三十岁,此一往之说也。
