干城《佛学大辞典》
(杂名)干闼婆城之略。别名鬼城。蜃气楼也。干闼婆者,印度乐人之异名,乐人巧幻楼阁,因而空中所现之蜃楼,名为干闼婆城。慈恩寺传九曰:“干城水沫无以譬其不坚。”见“干闼婆城”条。
干屎橛《佛学大辞典》
(譬喻)拭人粪之橛之干者。取至秽之意。屎橛又作厕筹、净筹、净木、厕简子等。用之者印度之风。会元十五曰:“僧问云门:如何是佛?门云:干屎橛。”禅林集句曰:“不念弥陀佛,南无干屎橛。”指月录曰:“临济曰:赤肉团上有一无位真人,未证据者看看。有僧出问。济曰:是干屎橛。又僧问惟一:如何是道中人?曰干屎橛。”按此即庄周所谓道在屎溺。

干闼婆《佛学大辞典》
(天名)Gandharva,又作健达婆、犍达缚、健闼婆、干沓和、干沓婆、彦达缚、犍陀罗等。译曰香神、嗅香、香阴、寻香行。乐人之称。又八部众之一。乐神名。不食酒肉,唯求香以资阴身,又自其阴身出香,故有香神乃至寻香行之称。与紧那罗同,奉侍帝释而司奏伎乐。紧那罗者法乐,干闼婆者修乐。注维摩经一曰:“什曰:干闼婆,天乐神也。处地十宝山中,天欲作乐时,此神体上有相出,然后上天也。”天台净名疏二曰:“干闼婆,此云香阴。此亦陵空之神,不啖酒肉唯香资阴。”文句二下曰:“干闼婆,此云嗅香,以香为食,亦云香阴,其身出香,此是天帝俗乐之神也。”嘉祥法华义疏二曰:“犍挞婆,此云香阴,以其清虚食香。又身唯恒出香,故名香阴。”玄应音义三曰:“犍沓和。又云犍陀罗,或作干沓婆,或云犍达婆,或云干闼婆。旧名也。今正言犍达缚,皆国音之不同也。此云嗅香,亦云乐神,一云食香,旧云香神,亦近也。经中亦作香音神也。”

又(杂名)西域之俗,俳优谓之干闼婆。彼等不事生业,只寻饮食之气,作乐而乞求,故名。二十唯识述记上曰:“西域呼俳优亦云寻香。此等不事王侯,不作生业,唯寻诸家饮食等香气,便往其门作诸伎乐,而求饮食。”玄赞二曰:“梵云健闼缚。此云寻香行。即作乐神。干闼婆,讹也。西域由此呼散乐为健闼缚,专寻香气作乐乞求故。”

又(术语)中有之称,死于此而生于彼之中间身也。彼亦以香为食。二十唯识述记上曰:“梵云健达缚,此云寻香,谓中有能寻当生处香即往生,亦名健达缚。”俱舍论光记八曰:“健达名香,缚名食,即中有名。”

干闼婆城《佛学大辞典》
(杂名)又作犍闼婆城、犍闼缚城、巘达嚩城。译寻香城、蜃气楼。乐人名为干闼婆,彼乐人能幻作楼阁以使人观,故名之为干闼婆城。而现于空中之蜃气楼类是,故亦称为干闼婆城。以譬物之幻有实无也。智度论六曰:“犍闼婆者,日初出时,见城门楼橹宫殿行人出入,日转高转灭,此城但可眼见而无有实。是名犍闼婆城。”二十唯识述记上曰:“旧论云干闼婆城,讹也。梵云健达缚。西域呼俳优亦云寻香,此等能作幻术,此幻作城于中游戏,名寻香城。幻惑似有无实城用,或呼阳焰化城名健达缚城。诸商估等入诸山海,多见阳焰化为城室,于中闻有作乐等声,西域呼作乐者既名寻香,故说此化城名寻香城。”辅行一之三曰:“干城,俗云蜃气。蜃大蛤也。朝起海洲,远视似有楼橹人物,而无其实。故十喻赞云:世法空旷,如彼鬼城。”慧苑音义下曰:“干闼婆城,此云寻香城也。谓十宝山间,有音乐神,名干闼婆。忉利诸天意须音乐此神身有异相,即知天意往彼娱乐。因此事故,西域名乐人为干闼婆。彼乐人多幻作城郭,须臾如故,因即谓龙蜃所现城郭,亦为干闼婆城。”慈恩寺传九曰:“干城水沫无以譬其不坚。”
