庵《佛学大辞典》
(杂名)隐遁者所住之茅屋。释氏要览上曰:“西天僧俗,修行多居庵。”刘熙释名曰:“草圆屋曰蒲,又谓之庵。庵,奄也,所以自奄覆也。”拾遗记曰:“汉任末编茅为庵。”后汉书曰:“皇甫规监关中兵,亲入庵卢巡视。注云:庵庐,军行宿室也。”按,今凡奉佛小舍称庵。翻译名义云:庵罗,本果树名。此树开花,花生一女。国人叹异。封其园。园既属女,女宿善冥熏,以园奉佛。佛即受之,而为所住。广韵云:庵小草舍,庵果名,是也。黄山谷谓庵非屋,不当从广,乃斥庵为俗书。

(植物)Amalaka,果名,见“庵摩罗”条。案庵摩勒果,即庵摩罗果,不可与庵罗果混一。庵罗果,新称庵没罗果。庵摩勒,新称阿末罗果,又作庵摩洛迦(余甘子)。因而依西域记二曰:“花草果木,杂种异名。所谓庵没罗果,(中略)阿末罗果。”列举二果。毗奈耶杂事二曰:“梵言庵摩洛迦,此言余甘子,广州大有焉。上庵没罗,全别,为声相滥,人皆惑之,故为注出,是掌中观者。”同五曰:“庵摩洛迦,即岭南余甘子也。初食之时,稍如苦涩,及其饮水,美味便生。从事立名,号余甘矣。旧云庵摩勒果者,讹也。”
庵摩罗《佛学大辞典》
(植物)āmra,一作庵罗,庵没罗。果名。新称阿末罗,阿摩洛迦,庵摩洛迦等。旧称庵摩罗,阿摩勒,庵摩勒等。译曰无垢清净。谓如林檎。汉字之使用混乱。āmra相当于庵罗,庵没罗,Amara译曰天果,Amala译曰无垢,通用阿摩罗,庵摩罗等。汉名混用之而不分明。西域记八曰:“阿摩落迦。印度药果之名也。”慧琳音义二十六曰:“阿摩勒果,此云无垢。涅槃经作呵梨勒,讹也。”维摩经弟子品肇注曰:“庵摩勒果,形似槟榔,食之除风冷。”有部毗那耶杂事一曰:“余甘子,出广州,堪沐发,西方名庵摩洛迦果也。”梵语杂名九曰:“阿摩楞迦。”
庵摩罗识《佛学大辞典》
(术语)又作阿摩罗识,阿末罗识。译曰清净识,无垢识,真如识等。九识中之第九。金刚三昧经曰:“诸佛如来,常以一觉而转诸识,入庵摩罗。”辅行三之一曰:“庵摩罗九识,名清净识。”宗镜录五十六曰:“阿摩罗,翻无垢识,体非一异,名真如识。”旧译家以为阿赖耶识之外别有此识,而建立九识,新译家谓此是阿赖耶识果上之名,不别立此识。唯识论三举第八识之异名:“或名无垢识,最极清净。”云云(参照“阿赖耶”条)。以为八识之异名。是新译家之说(此识名从译为清净识观之,则为Amala而似非āmra又非庵摩罗也)。
