戒《佛学大辞典》
(术语)梵名曰尸罗Śila,戒者,防禁身心之过者。大乘义章一曰:“言尸罗者,此名清凉,亦名为戒。三业炎火,焚烧行人。事等如烧,戒能防息,故名清凉。清凉之名,正翻彼也。以能防禁,故名为戒。”璎珞本业经下曰:“一切众生,初入三宝海,以信为本。住在佛家,以戒为本。”玄应音义十四曰:“戒亦律之别义也,梵言三波罗,此译云禁,戒亦禁义也。”涅槃经三十一曰:“戒是一切善法梯橙。”五戒,八戒,十戒,具足戒之四级,为戒之四位。是小乘戒之分相也。戒法,戒体,戒行,戒相,为戒之四科。戒法者,如来所制之法。戒体者,由于受授之作法而领纳戒法于心脐,生防非止恶之功德者。戒行者随顺其戒体而如法动作三业也。戒相者其行之差别,即十戒乃至二百五十戒也。一切之戒,尽具此四科。资持记上一之三曰:“欲达四科,先须略示。圣人制教名法,纳法成业名体。依体起护名行,为行有仪名相。”补助仪上曰:“戒科总有四重:谓戒法,戒体,戒行,戒相。(中略)戒法者,舍那佛三聚净戒功德是也。戒体者,师资相传,作法受得,心中领纳法体也。此受持法体一一行彰以云戒行,其行有开遮持犯,名云戒相也。”

戒体《佛学大辞典》
(术语)防非止恶之功能也。戒法授受之作法成就时,指防非止恶之功能,发现于受者身中者谓之戒体。此戒体旧译云无作,新译云无表。随顺此戒体而于身口意三业表现如法之所作,谓之戒行。论于戒之四科参照戒项。楞严经一曰:“淫躬抚摩,将毁戒体。”
戒体三种《佛学大辞典》
(名数)定戒体之性通大小乘而有三种:一色法,受戒之时,身口二业有发显之表色。其表色依四大而生一种之色法,有防非止恶之功能,是名无表色,又名无作色,是为四大所生,故为色法,而摄于色蕴之中是有部宗之义也。二心法,受戒之时有发动思之心所,此心所之种子相绩而有防非止恶之功能,为戒体,是为依于受戒时之表色作用而起者,故附以色之名,然实为心法,大乘唯识论是也。三非色非心法,彼无形质,故非色,彼无缘虑,故非心,即为非色非心之别法,是小乘成实论所立也。已上三种之戒体,南山于四分律之当分,准于成实宗之所立,而立非色非心之戒体,自己之本意,依于大乘唯识之义而取心法之戒体。又天台,于止观取心法,戒疏取色法。但于小乘之有部大乘之唯识所异者,为性具之色,性具之心,而其意未见异于彼之二宗也。梵网戒疏上曰:“戒体者,不起而已,起即性无作假色。”
戒体箱《佛学大辞典》
(物名)三昧耶戒金刚界胎藏界之式文称为戒体,容其戒体之箱,称为戒体箱。
戒刀《佛学大辞典》
(物名)比丘所持之小刀。供割切三衣之用。僧史略上曰:“禅师则[廿/凶/ㄆ]笠,及持澡罐漉囊锡杖戒刀斧子针筒,此皆为道具。”释氏要览中曰:“僧史略云:戒刀皆是道具,按律许畜月头刀子为割衣故。今比丘畜刀名戒者,盖佛不许斫截一切草木坏鬼神村故,草木尚戒,况其他也。”
